Okay, I decided not to paint the red formica after consulting with a local craftsman. Instead, I bought some black formica and used it on the sides. It set me back a few pennies, but it is nothing that I can't handle. Now, I have one last piece to the puzzle before my machine is complete. I took out the original control panel, and I am looking towards designing my own. The board used in my machine looks to be 3/4" particle board. I am going tomorrow to have two boards cut out (in case I make a mistake) and then I will have to decide on how to wire it up to my computer. I have looked through the tutorials on this site, but many of them are quite confusing. Has anyone on this website had any luck with Hanaho's control panels? I am thinking about taking their Hotrod control panel apart and custom fitting it to my own. However, if the panel should break for some reason, would regular Happ parts(joysticks, buttons) work for it?
